ripKurrent Announces Sustainability Management Partners (SMP) as a Technical Partner

ripKurrent will use SMP's O2Prime needlepoint ionization technology to drastically improve overall indoor air conditions for its customers
while reducing total energy consumption by 30-50%.

Boca Raton, FL, April 5, 2018- ripKurrent, LLC is excited to announce that it has entered into a technology partnership with Sustainability Management Partners (SMP) of Evansville, Indiana.

ripKurrent will use SMP's O2Prime needlepoint ionization technology to drastically improve overall indoor air conditions for its customers, while reducing total energy consumption by 30-50%.

"I have been a big fan of ionization since I was first exposed to it more than 5 years ago, and now having the ability to work together with SMP on developing customized solutions for the industries we serve will take the technology to new heights in the marketplace," said Jade Culbertson, ripKurrent co-founder and Chief Growth Officer.

ripKurrent and SMP understand that most people spend the majority of their time indoors, whether it's at work, home, or in various places of commerce, so having an environment that is healthy and free from contaminants, bacteria and other harmful pollutants is paramount. Industry studies by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and others have shown that an untreated and unhealthy indoor environment can cause fatigue, allergies, headaches, and in certain cases, some pollutants can cause certain types of cancer.

"Aside from the fact that the technology produces the safest and healthiest indoor environment, it can also reduce the amount of ventilation air that is brought into a facility, which can have an enormous effect on the total energy consumption of any given facility," Culbertson continued.

Conditioned outside ventilation air is a large consumer of energy in commercial facilities, in some cases equaling up to 10% of the total energy cost. By utilizing Bi-Polar Ionization and following ASHRAE-62.1-2016 VRP (Ventilation Rate Procedure), this technology can reduce a facility's outside air intake by as much as 70% in some applications, producing a tremendous savings and improved indoor air environment for ripKurrent's customers.
